The POSTPRESS ALLIANCE – Always Present
What began with great success at drupa 2024 continues into the new year as the six partner brands of the Postpress Alliance push the boundaries of innovation.
In an industry increasingly focused on customized, individualized products, cross-process and customer-specific solutions are in higher demand than ever. The Postpress Alliance, comprising leading brands such as baumannperfecta, Bograma, H+H, Hohner, MBO, and Wohlenberg, provides everything the printing industry needs for cutting-edge print finishing. With expertise spanning cutting, jogging, die-cutting, folding, micro-folding, saddle stitching, and perfect binding—and with advancements in collaborative robot systems and connectivity—the Alliance sets the standard for excellence.
Postpress Alliance Debuts at Hunkeler Innovationdays 2025 for the first time, the Postpress Alliance will participate in the Hunkeler Innovationdays, showcasing an exciting exhibition portfolio. Recognized for its digital focus and targeted approach, HID 2025 offers a perfect complement to drupa, according to the managing directors of the six brands. Digital processing will take center stage at the event. In hall 2, stand S8, visitors will see two innovative web-processing solutions. The H+H M9, which was a standout at drupa, has been upgraded with the MBO Unwinder UW23 and SVC23 to demonstrate cost-effective processing of micro formats. Meanwhile, the Hohner HHS-Futura Digital, previously introduced at drupa with roll speeds of 220 meters, will be featured alongside the MBO Unwinder UW23, sheeter SVC525C, folding machine DFT23, and H+H delivery ET407, enabling efficient selective processing for variable page counts and cutting thickness. The CoBo-Stack 30i collaborative robot further highlights the Alliance’s commitment to reducing workload and enhancing productivity. By integrating cross-process solutions from three brands, the Postpress Alliance demonstrates product safety and cost-effectiveness under its guiding motto, “Better Together.”
Spotlight on Innovation As a leader in die-cutting technology, Bograma will showcase the capabilities of its rotary die-cutting system, the BSR 550 basic. With short makeready times, nickfree die-cutting, and inline stripping, the BSR 550 basic delivers fast and flexible production of high-quality die-cut products. A creative flyer production in 9-up mode will produce an original sample catalog that highlights the versatility of die-cutting solutions under the theme, “Everything the Die-Cutting Sheet Can Offer.”
Meanwhile, baumannperfecta will present the BP 92 high-speed cutter, designed for small formats and digital printing. This machine features the innovative Straight 2 Cut technology, which transforms prepress data into precise cutting programs via a barcode scanner. Fully integrated into digital workflows and MIS, the BP 92 exemplifies smart, productive print finishing.
Although Wohlenberg will not exhibit machinery onsite, its representatives will be available for discussions about the latest advancements in perfect binding, ensuring visitors have the opportunity to explore new innovations in this area.
Next stop Orlando/USA.
